SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas Get Social
(Dallas, Texas) SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas are excited to announce that they are becoming more social. SURFACES unveiled via Twitter that they are now on Facebook.
“We are thrilled to offer a new platform for our exhibitors, attendees and supporters of the show to share information, network and interact with the show and each other,” explains Dana Teague, Show Director for SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. “Facebook will allow SURFACES to play a more active role within the ever-evolving floor covering industry.”
Along with SURFACES, StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas is getting more social with an updated Facebook page. Though StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas has had a presence on the social network for a few years, their newly remodeled page will allow the show to be more involved in the stone industry by providing the most current industry news and the most up-to-date show information.
“We hope that, as the stone industry continues to move further into the Digital Age, the StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas Facebook page will be a trusted place for exhibitors and attendees to go to network with other professionals and stay plugged into what’s happening with the show,” explains Amie Gilmore, Show Manager for SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas.
SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas will utilize both Facebook and Twitter to provide updated information regarding show dates, conference information, announcements, event reminders and also to relay breaking industry news. These social sites will also allow the shows to keep their supporters “in-the-know” so they can better utilize their time at future SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas shows.
“When you walk around the show floor and notice how many smart phones and other technology there is out there and see how it’s being used on the show floor to share information, set up meetings and stay connected, you realize what an invaluable service we could provide our exhibitors, attendees and supporters by having a presence on these social sites,” adds Gilmore. “Our shows are here to provide a place to see the newest trends and products, do business and network with other industry professionals. Now we’ll be able to provide networking opportunities throughout the entire year.”
