Aron Ralston
Though the economy seems to be gaining momentum, industry professionals are still determining how to meet goals and overcome obstacles in today's market. Draw inspiration from Aron Ralston, a mechanical engineer-turned-professional outdoorsman, as he recounts his story of defying all odds and flourishing in extreme circumstances.
In 2003, Ralston spent 127 hours trapped by an 800 pound boulder after his canyon hike went suddenly and terribly wrong. After realizing that he would not survive unless he took drastic action, Ralston self-amputated his crushed hand to free himself, repelled down a 65-foot face, and then hiked seven miles out of the canyon before finally being rescued.
Ralston, author of the international best-seller Between a Rock and a Hard Place and inspiration for the film 127 Hours, by award winning director, Danny Boyle who directed Slumdog Millionaire. Ralston will share his message of perseverance, determination, courage and goal-attaining.
